Identifying Parts of an Expression Level 1 Boom Cards is an internet based activity. It is paperless and self-grading. Great for 1:1 classrooms. Can also be used in a center or with an interactive whiteboard. Students get instant feedback after each question. Boom Cards play on any digital device with an internet connection. Created for 6th grade. This is a guided lesson therefore students are shown how to do the skill and then they are given questions on it. When students get a wrong answer they are take to a reteach card and then back to the question. Students cannot skip cards in this deck. Students select answers by multiple choice.
Level 1: There are three sections. In each section, students are only shown 4 words. They are shown a definition card for each word. Then they can review the words or go on and answer questions. If a student gets an answer wrong, they are taken to a hint card and then brought back to the question to try again. This is a great way to introduce the words.
The 12 vocabulary words taught in this lesson are:
- constant, variable, exponent, coefficient
- expression, factor, term, like terms
- product, sum, difference, quotient.
