Dividing Decimals Boom Cards is an internet based activity. It is paperless and self-grading. Great for 1:1 classrooms. Can also be used in a center or with an interactive whiteboard. Students get instant feedback after each question. Boom Cards play on any digital device with an internet connection. Hosted by Boom Learning.
Students will be shown a division expression written horizontally. The dividend will contain 3 or 4 digits and will be tenths or hundredths. The divisor will contain or 1 or 2 digits and will be a whole number, tenths, or hundredths. Students will enter their answer.
Prerequisite skills needed to use this activity
- Dividing whole numbers
- Recognizing the value of digits in decimals and how place value affects division.
- Correctly placing the decimal point in the quotient based on the relationship between dividend and divisor.
