Coordinate Plane Four Quadrants Boom Cards is an internet based activity. It is paperless and self-grading. Great for 1:1 classrooms. Can also be used in a center or with an interactive whiteboard. In this activity students will be given an ordered pair and asked to locate objects on all four quadrants of the coordinate plane by tapping the object. They will also be shown an object and be asked to select the correct ordered pair from 4 possible answers.
Prerequisite skills needed to use this activity
Interpreting Ordered Pairs
- Understanding that ordered pairs (x, y) indicate horizontal (x) and vertical (y) positions.
Plotting Points in All Quadrants
- Starting at the Origin (0, 0): Using it as the reference point.
- Ensuring correct positioning based on both x and y coordinates.
